We would love you to join our London team as an IT Manager

We need an amazing IT Manager who can work with our IT support teams in the UK & US to ensure we deliver exceptional client service to the business worldwide as well as help translate our technology ambitions into real-world implementations.

Reporting to Hotwire’s Head of Technology you will be responsible for making sure that the core fabric of our IT system is well maintained, secure and compliant, and that our IT helpdesk provides an exceptional level of service to our team members around the world. With day-to-day responsibility for directing and motivating a team of four Systems Admin / Analyst staff, you will be the driving force of Hotwire’s IT support.


Daily, You Will:

Be charged with managing our junior IT team in the UK and be responsible for many elements of the day-to-day running of the IT department across EMEA, from helpdesk queries to back-end support. You will be a key point of contact for suppliers, as well as taking a wider position in the rollout of key IT implementations such as a new HRMS.

You will be a strong leader with proven experience in this area, and a keen interest and proven track record in continuous learning and development, helping to keep your team ahead of technical innovations.


Responsibilities include:

Strategic oversight

  • Identify and leverage new technologies and trends for business benefit
  • Strategically map-out, plan, and manage projects as directed by the Head of Technology
  • Regularly analyse and maintain operational data, providing recommendations & learnings
  • Promote and implement operational efficiency and compliance measures
  • Help build a strong commitment to technology excellence across the business working with teams and clients in partnership to provide training, ideas and recommendations

Business management

  • Managing, developing and motivating our junior IT team
  • Ensuring our IT systems run smoothly and safely in line with compliance and Enero (our parent company) requirements
  • Build and maintain positive vendor relationships & favourable rates
  • Build strong relationships with local stakeholders and develop a clear understanding of the local systems and challenges

Day to Day

  • Oversee network and server configuration and maintenance for our business and select sister agencies
  • Manage servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories and storage etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements
  • Manage all cloud services for optimum performance
  • Manage and track all upgrades and security updates
  • Managing and maintaining all necessary documentation and mapping
  • Project management; managing a budget and effective resourcing
  • Able to multitask under pressure against demands and deadlines, whilst always maintaining a positive and constructive attitude and demeanour
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Great communication and strong numeracy skills
  • Escalate problems as appropriate according to the IT Department’s procedures
  • When appropriate, obtain concise problem resolution information from external service providers
  • Ensure accurate and timely logging of problems and resolution
  • Maintain accurate inventory and replacement schedules


You’ll Bring:

  • 7+ years’ experience in technical support, preferably in a media environment
  • At least 3 years of line and/or team management experience of IT teams
  • The ability to support Windows and Mac workstations and servers (on site and remotely)
  • The ability to work speedily without compromising quality
  • Strong IT qualifications (educational degree or suitable industry certifications)
  • Sound knowledge of current technologies and tech trends
  • An interest in the comms industry and the tech brands we work with
  • Able to troubleshoot and propose innovative new approaches to challenges
  • Good customer service attitude and aptitude
