Campaign overview

It was a year of celebration for Optus, with significant progress towards their ‘game-changing customer experiences’ ambition. Optus engaged Hotwire to create an event to energise, inform, surprise and delight the Optus sales and marketing team for the year ahead. The ‘Kick Start’ event showcased Optus’ significant investments in their network, new systems and content partnerships.

What we did

Hotwire created the ‘Amp it up’ event theme and managed end-to-end production. The main epicentre event space was designed as an all-in-one set with expo breakout spaces and artisan food stalls surrounding a central circular stage accommodating 2,500 people and 20 partner stands, which included brands such as Samsung and Huawei. All event assets were deliberately BIG – large format projections, super-sized inflatable objects, big thinkers on the big stage with brand storytelling and a tech and service showcase – topped off by headline entertainment from The Veronicas and PNAU. In addition to the epicentre space, Hotwire managed ten separate breakout sessions, three award dinners and a show-stopping after party.
