Campaign overview

In March 2015, Zuora announced a $115 million funding raise led by Wellington Capital Management and BlackRock Private Equity Partners. It was essential for Hotwire to manage global communications by crafting a message that heightened awareness of a new business category, supported by the funding news, and which conveyed the significance of the round across five continents.

What we did

We worked with the global marketing team on an announcement strategy, which included identifying a core theme and developing supporting content, which included FAQs, a bylined article, SlideShare, press release and more. Along with the news, we drove media outreach tied to this news, which secured 28 global briefings resulting in more than 100 global press mentions.

Results

The 28 global briefings and more than 100 press mentions, included CNBC, Fortune, Forbes, WSJ, TechCrunch, VentureBeat and Re/Code. Specifically in the U.S., this resulted in 221M online article impressions. Additionally, there were more than 3,775 Twitter mentions generating an estimated 31.6 M impressions, and the SlideShare was viewed more than 4,600 times and shared more than 1,000 times.
