bunq selects Hotwire to drive global media relations amid expansion

Hotwire will lead media relations for Europe’s second largest neobank across strategic markets globally.

LONDON, 25th MARCH 2026Hotwire, the global technology communications and marketing consultancy, has been selected by bunq as its new global strategic media relations agency. This partnership will unify global narratives and position bunq’s brand across strategic markets globally.

bunq has built its offering around digital nomads, a globally-connected community who expect flexibility and control of their finances, wherever they are. A currently underserved community, bunq – powered by Gen-AI across 85% of user operations – wants to change this and make money move as easily as the people that use it.

As part of this collaboration, Hotwire will be responsible for supporting bunq’s ambitious communication strategy. Starting the partnership with the milestone announcement of bunq’s US filing, the programme will focus on supporting with further corporate storytelling and thought leadership in mainstream media.
